In 2024, we were recognized for the fourth consecutive year as one of the world’s most ethical companies by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.
We were included in Bloomberg’s 2023 Gender Equality Index, which measures the performance of publicly traded companies reporting gender equality information. The company joined 483 companies worldwide that stand out for leadership and talent, equality and pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and external branding.
We received the Friendly Biz certification from the Chamber of LGBT Merchants in Colombia for being a friendly business to the LGBT+ community. This seal is recognized by 15 LGBT merchant chambers around the world.
In 2023, for the third consecutive year, we were certified as a great place to work by the Great Place to Work Institute. We scored 91.9 vs 84.8 in 2022, maintaining our status in the ‘very outstanding’ category.
We were recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute as one of the best places to work for women in Colombia, joining the list of 50 companies that obtained high performance for this segment among 191 participating companies.
The Private Social Investment Index recognized us for focusing our social investment on rural and vulnerable populations. In this way, we benefit the communities in our areas of influence and respond to their deepest needs.
We were included in the list of companies that have planted the most trees in Colombia by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, contributing to the fight against deforestation.
Since 2021, we have been awarded the Equipares Gold Seal thanks to our commitment and effort to close gender gaps in the workplace and with our stakeholders in the territories where we operate. This recognition was granted by the Ministry of Labor and the Presidential Council for Equality for Women (Colombia), with the technical support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
We are one of the 28 companies that are part of this international initiative, which offers practical guidelines for organizations that operate in zones of conflict or with fragile governance. These guidelines ensure that public and private security forces are responsible for protecting operations and act within a framework that is respectful of human rights.
Since 2021, we are part of the more than 500 signatory organizations of the alliance for a ‘Carbon Neutral Colombia‘, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment to share good practices and lead by example in the fight against climate change. The ‘Carbon Neutral Colombia’ strategy represents an early action in the long-term climate strategy and will allow the public, private, and civil society sectors to be involved in the path to zero emissions by 2050.
We are part of the EITI, a global standard that promotes the open and responsible management of oil, gas, and mineral resources. The EITI is a transparency tool for countries to improve the management of resources, income, and benefits from the extractive industry.
Frontera joined the One Trillion Trees (1t.org) movement launched by the World Economic Forum in 2020, with the global goal of conserving, restoring, and growing one trillion trees by 2030. Frontera pledged to preserve and restore 2,500 hectares of biological corridors in strategic areas by 2027, which is equivalent to approximately 2.6 million trees.
